Demolition services across the Tampa Bay area

Demolition is most of what we do, from a whole house down to a single addition. We also clear land, dig and grade lots, haul construction debris and clean out commercial property.

How a demolition job runs

One demolition company takes the building down and leaves you a clean lot

Most calls start with a building somebody wants gone. It might be a flooded house, an old garage or a commercial building coming down for something new. Global Construction and Home Repair takes structures like these down across the Tampa Bay area. Behind that is more than 30 years of demolition and construction work.

The 2024 hurricanes left flood damage across Tampa Bay, and teardowns followed. On one home we took out the flooded ground floor while the garage and the ADU above it stayed standing. The pool beside it came through untouched. A teardown like that gets planned before a machine moves.

What comes after the teardown belongs to the same company. We haul the debris off, pull the slab and foundation, and grade the lot so it is ready to build. Overgrown ground gets the trees and brush taken out on the same job. We are based in Valrico and work about 50 miles out, across Hillsborough, Polk and Pasco counties.

Built for Demolition Work in the Tampa Bay Area

More than 30 years of demolition work

The demolition and construction work behind this company goes back more than three decades in the Tampa Bay area. Houses, garages, commercial buildings, pools and mobile homes have all come down. Storm and flood teardowns are part of that record.

The whole job from one company

One company takes the structure down, hauls the debris off and grades what is left. The dirt work after a teardown runs on the same job and the same schedule. That is one number to call, from the estimate to the finished lot.

Based in Valrico, working the Tampa Bay area

We work about 50 miles out from Valrico. That covers Hillsborough County towns like Tampa, Brandon, Riverview and Plant City, plus Lakeland and Winter Haven in Polk County. Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills and Land O' Lakes in Pasco County are in range too.

Free estimates on the property

We come out, look at the structure or the lot and tell you how the job would run. The price comes from what is actually standing there. The visit is free and the work starts when you say go.

Global Construction did an outstanding job demolishing the original single-story, ground-floor portion of our home after it was flooded by Hurricane Helene. This was a highly complex project that several other companies declined because the original house had to be carefully separated from the remaining garage and ADU above, while also preserving the existing pool. Their team handled the demolition with skill, professionalism, and great attention to detail. They took on a difficult project, completed the work safely and efficiently, and delivered phenomenal results at a very fair price. We are extremely grateful to Global Construction and would highly recommend them to anyone needing an experienced and dependable demolition contractor.

We needed help demoing affected homes from the hurricanes in late 2024 to dry them out and thankfully we were connected to Mike and his son and their crew. They were great to work with, they were punctual, they were respectful and we all around a great experience working with them.

How We Work

How a Job With Global Construction Runs

From the first call or text to the clean lot at the end, here is how it goes.

1

Call or text

Call or text (813) 239-4231 with the address and what needs to come down. Photos of the structure help before we come out.

2

We look at the site

We come to the property and look at the structure or the lot. Size, what it is built of, access for the machines and where the debris goes all set the price. The estimate is free.

3

Permits and utilities

Hillsborough County requires a demolition permit, and it wants utility sign-offs before it issues one. A licensed asbestos inspector surveys the buildings the state rule covers. We work around the permit and the survey, and we confirm what your address needs.

4

The teardown

The excavator comes in and the structure comes down. Anything you are keeping stays protected while that happens. Debris goes into dump trucks and trailers as we work.

5

A clean lot

The last loads go out, and the slab and foundation go with them when you want them gone. We grade the ground so the lot sits level. Then you have a lot you can build on, sell or use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Demolition and Site Work?

The questions Tampa Bay property owners ask us most. If yours is not here, call or text and we will answer it.

Call (813) 239-4231

How is demolition priced?
Price comes from the structure itself. Size and what it is built of set most of it. A slab and foundation underneath add work, and so does the amount of debris leaving the site. We price each job after we look at it.
Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates are free. We come to the property, look at what is coming down and give you a price for the work. The visit costs you nothing, and the job starts when you say go.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Valrico and work about 50 miles out. That covers most of Hillsborough County, including Tampa, Brandon, Riverview and Plant City. Lakeland in Polk County and Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills in Pasco County are in range too. Every town is listed on our service areas page.
Do you handle the demolition permit and the asbestos survey?
Hillsborough County requires a demolition permit, and it wants utility sign-offs before it issues one. We handle the permit paperwork where the county lets the contractor file it. Florida also requires notice before a demolition, and a licensed asbestos inspector surveys the buildings that rule covers. Rules change, so confirm what applies with the permit office covering your address.
What happens to the debris?
It leaves the property. We load it with the excavator and by hand, and it goes out in dump trucks and trailers. Concrete, block, lumber, metal and drywall go to county landfills or to construction and demolition recycling sites. We also haul debris off other job sites.
Can you take down part of a house instead of all of it?
Yes, taking down part of a structure is regular work for us. An addition, a damaged wing, an attached garage or a flooded ground floor can come out. The rest of the structure stays standing. Interior gut-outs to the studs work the same way.
How long does a house demolition take?
The machine work on a normal house is usually measured in days. Permits and utility disconnects take longer than the teardown, and they come first. Size, the slab underneath and how far the debris travels all change the timeline. We give you a time frame with the estimate.
What should I do before you arrive?
Have the power, water and gas shut off and disconnected at the structure. Take out anything you want to keep, because what is left inside goes with the building. Tell us what stays on the property, like a fence, a pool or a tree. If we are digging, buried lines get located first through Sunshine 811, Florida's free call-before-you-dig service.
